Because of the added oil demand for the turbo and lifter lubrication assembly, I didn't want to draw oil from the oil galley for this purpose because it meant a potential pressure drop across from the main journals. This wasn't going to cut it, so I decided to make this block which serves two purposes. One, allowing oil to be drawn without a pressure drop in the block, and two, it allowed me to make the filter somewhat remote. Here is how it works. Oil is pumped from the external oil pump, goes through the oil cooler and into this fixture. It gets filtered, then the Accusump, lifter lubrication system (and upper end oil supply), turbo, oil temp sensor, and engine compartment oil pressure gauge are fed oil. Next the oil exits this block and goes into the engine block to feed the cam, main and rod bearings.
